Answers To The Most Popular Questions:

Where can these decals be installed?  Will they harm painted surfaces?
These vinyl graphic products can be installed on any smooth, wax free surface.  This includes glass, plexiglas, painted surfaces, fiberglas, some plastics, etc.  The vinyl will not harm any of these surfaces.  This is the same material that is used for truck lettering, & commercial signage.
Will the decal effect Defroster Lines
or Window Tint?
Do you have a hardcopy catalog available?
Since all the vinyl graphic products are designed for outdoor installation, the rear defroster or window tint will not be effected by the decals. Because our product line is constantly changing, we do not offer a hardcopy retail catalog.  Instead, we encourage our customers to continue checking our the website for updates and new products.
Are the decals legal on cars? Why hasn't my Info Request or
Email been answered?
Each individual state has different regulations regarding the legality of aftermarket decals on vehicles.  Many states have no laws regarding decals covering windows, or maximum sizes for decals.  It is the customers responsibility to check local laws regarding the legality and size restrictions Over 95% of all emails sent are answered within 2 business days.  Possible reasons for no response from us is if the email address or other information is either incorrect or incomplete.  BE CAREFUL AND ACCURATE!  Emails we will not be answered that contain questions which are answered on this page.

How to measure for custom decals What colors look best on my car window?
Measuring for custom decals is simple.  Using a tape measure or yard stick, estimate the total width (left to right) and height (up and down) for your desired decal  (total size, not size of individual letters).  All of our decals are separated by scale (square, rectangular, or windshield)  Remember for windshield decals, most cars will fit a 4" x 40" decal. When choosing a color for a decal which is to be installed on a car window, keep in mind that the window is naturally dark, so that decals are not visible when done in dark colors (black, dk blue, dk green). We suggest silver, white yellow or gold colors which might accent the vehicle's other areas (wheels, interior, etc.)

Do you offer wholesale discounts?
Wholesale dealers?
Where can I get more information on purchasing a signmaking system?  About going into business selling vinyl graphics?
We are eager to find other companies who want to make more money reselling our products.  Depending upon your volume of sales, the wholesale prices can range between 25 & 50% off the prices listed on the internet. We offer same day shipping, and credit card billing. Most of our dealers set up display boards at their shops and have examples of some of the popular decals to show potential customers.  To become a wholesale account you need to fill certain requirements including business tax information, valid credit card for billing, and an initial order of at least $400.00.   Email or call us for additional information! The signmaking equipment supplier who we use and recommend is at the following address:  www.chesapeakegraphics.com

There are two basic options:

A. Invest in a signmaking system.
Purchase a cutter, software, computer, vinyl, tape, scanner & other necessities. Then once you learn the software, you need to build a library of predesigned logos. For example, the 1500+ logos we have on our system were each scanned and cleaned separately, then resized to cut.  Most shops like ourselves do not offer any of our designs for sale.

B. Become a wholesale dealer
This saves the initial startup and maintenance costs on the equipment.  We custom make one-of-a-kind decals and ship to our wholesale dealers everyday!   We offer same day shipping, and credit card billing. Most of our dealers set up display boards at their shops and have examples of some of the popular decals to show potential customers.

What should I know about the Racing Stripes? Can I see Racing Stripes / Decals on my vehicle before I decide to purchase?
All Racing Stripes created by our company are made from High Performance Cast Vinyl, which is durable, yet will last on the vehicle for years to come.   The stripes are created in 57" - 60" sections which each fit a section of the vehicle (hood, roof, trunk).  Each set of racing stripes is made to the customer's specifications.  We do not suggest any particular size stripe kit for a specific car.

We stongly recommend that first time vinyl graphic installers seek professional help prior and during installation.  We also reccommend that stripes are not installed on fresh paint.  We suggest waiting up to 45 days prior to installing decals on new paint.
Unless you can furnish us a good color photo of the exact model car, we can not show you what the decal will look like on the vehicle.  We suggest looking at other vehicles on the website to judge spacing and sizing.  A measuring tape can be held to the vehicle and sizes and scale can be estimated from that.
How do I measure for stripes?
The insure proper length stripes, measure the total length needed.  This is accomplished by measuring the hood, roof, and trunk (allowing   a minumim of 24" extra for bumpers).  This total (between 110" and 190") is the length needed.  Next, using a tape measure, estimate the width you would prefer for your vehicle (between one 6" stripe and two 10" stripes) as outlined on the racing stripes page..

How do I remove vinyl decals? Will vinyl graphics damage paint or windows?
Vinyl graphics and decals can be easily removed.  SImply heat the decal with a heat gun, hairdryer.  Then using your fingernail, lift the edge of the decal and work across the surface of the decal.  Averheating the decal will result in more difficult removal, as will not enough heat.  Once the vinyl is removed, use PREPSOL or thinners to remove any glue residue. Vinyl graphics or lettering will not premanently damage painted surfaces or windows.  Long term effects of vinyl on painted surfaces and windows is that the paint or window tint under the decal area will not fade at the same rate as the rest of the car.  Therefore an imageof the deal or lettering may be left once the decal is removed.
